    http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=391335662

thats sad why would he do something like this….

please just take a look for yourself

  4. how is he getting a kick out of it?

  5. EYEZONLY:
FIRST OF ALL, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS SICK AND HOW THE HELL COULD U DO SUCH A THING? YOU HAVE YOUR NERVE, TAKING ADVANTAGE OF OTHER PEOPLE’S HORRIFIC SITUATIONS! THESE BLOGS ARE NOT FOR BICKERING BUT THIS MUST BE SAID AND IT MUST BE SAID BY ME! THIS IS NOT ALL FUN AND GAMES, SEVEN WOMEN ARE DEAD AND IF YOU DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THAT THEN PLEASE MOVE THE HELL ON! I AM PISSED OFF! 6. I looked at the profile eyez and I don’t see anything of how he’s referring to the Jennings 7. He’s in a band and his name is Travis Kershaw. Tell me what you see what I can’t see…ok I know I just confused you.

Besides, thought you wouldn’t come on anymore.

  7. its thought NOT taught……

  8. Brittany is right, somebody knows something and I can’t and won’t comment on whether there are one killer or multiple killers but I will say this…

We’re not magic, we gather and compile information and dissect the information and when we hear that someone is missing, even for a short while, we are out helping to look.

I will also say that if someone is scared to come forward…the investigators will offer them protection 24 hours a day, 7 days a week until the person/persons, everyone responsible is arrested. I know alot of people of are scared to come forward that has information and the police can’t offer anyone protection because of manpower but we can and we will.

    • EYEZ, EYEZ, EYEZ……I have tolerated you “advertising” on this blog. I have tolerated your incessant, repetitive comments on this blog. I have tolerated your continual desire for attention on this blog. I WILL NOT continue to tolerate you distracting from this blog…..I WILL NOT continue to tolerate you taunting the people whose REAL lives are involved in this crime and that are readers at this blog. I WILL NOT continue to allow you to derail the discussion and comments on this blog.

And EYEZ, don’t call it g8trgirl’s blog anymore…..please. I simply maintain it. I don’t really consider it mine. If you will notice…..it is not titled G8trgirl’s Blog. I’m convinced now that you have somehow missed the true intent here. And, if you haven’t…..please, in your final comment here, explain your understanding of it.

I have many more comments I could make to you. I am not in the mood to waste my time at the moment though. You continue on your “honorable” quest. You continue to set up more and more email accounts so you can continue to work your way around the blocks I put on your comments to this blog. That’s okay……I’m only just a few steps behind you.

I’ve lost patience with your juvenile fuckery…….now, you get one last comment. Take your best shot!

  10. Maybe scaredconfused is managing the band and they needed the hits on their site to get noticed…

  11. AWE ” living in fear ” , you always know how to but a smile on my face..lol

    good one…lol

  12. by the way THANX FOR THE ATTENTION ” living in fear “..lol

always making me smile… gotta luv ya! lol

  13. First, I’m going to apologize to g8trgirl and everyone else for what I’m about to say, please don’t let this reflect on myself or my business because this is only sometimes that it has to resort to this but I have to say it…..

    EYEZONLY:

Some of my clients come on here and read, some posts, some don’t, they’ve had a great lost, more than what you could ever imagine, even though you don’t believe that and even though you think that you’ve been through “alot more” and that is very doubtful.

I don’t care about who you know in LE, I don’t care about how powerful you think you are and how powerful you think your friends in LE are. Believe me, I’m not intimidated in the least bit. The law is the law and nobody can hide behind that and nobody is above the law, no matter what you say or do. Anybody that knows me knows that I’m not intimidated but you are not only adding insult to injury to those that lost family members but you are also making a spectacle of yourself. At first, everyone thought (notice the spelling) that you wanted to help but now its apparent that you only want attention and please don’t insult everyone’s intelligence on here. It’s not a game!!! Everytime I get a call that someone is missing, my heart drops and I panic and everyone springs into action, just in case.

What else I don’t care about, besides your so-called LE friends. I don’t care about the mayor going to houses with a tape measure measuring the grass so the city can charge $250 to cut the grass, I don’t care about junk cars in someone’s yard, I don’t care about sewage…what I do care about is priorities such as my clients, these 7 women that were murdered, and the person that is doing it and now you are really making people think alot less of you. I’m really trying to be as nice as I can be. Yes, you do have freedom of speech but freedom of speech does have limitations, especially if it causes harm to someone…New York Times Co. v. Sullivan, 376 U.S. 254, 273-76 (1964).

I’m asking you eyezonly to please have respect for the victims’ families as well as others on this site. Thank you.

    KM

  14. LOL! THANX FOR THE ATTENTION! g8trgirl!

and i don’t need help! i got justice!

and $250 , for grass cutting thats alot!!!

glade i don’t live over there!

and at first yes i did want help , but as more and more infor. came about i don’t need it…

  15. cp……don’t know if you will see this LOL but, glad you’re here!! Stick around.

  16. you can block me g8trgirl but you know i’ll always be back , like it OR not i run this!…lol

can’t you see everyone’s talking about me! GOOD or BAD hey they are still talking!

your site ain’t had hardly no comment until i came alone , now look how well your doing , if anything you should be YES THANKING ME! LOL

  17. P.S. yes i may know something about the killings but you crazy i’m not loseing my life for people i don’t even know…..

the killer wants me dead as well….

you can’t trust everyone , you know!

  18. BYE!!!

  19. you self-centered b****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Find another site! I take my sister’s death very seriously! Please stop adding insult to injury!!!! This is not to be played with! She was someone’s mother! How could u be so heartless?

  20. Talking about a heartless creature. There was a time when I thought that person – used loosely – had something to offer. There must be a way of finding out who tht person is and stop the crap.

One moe time ‘murder is not a joke or fun matter’, only a selfish, heartless person would do such.

  21. EYEZONLY, on March 1st, 2009 at 6:34 PM Said:
you can block me g8trgirl but you know i’ll always be back , like it OR not i run this!…lol

NAH……DON’T THINK SO!! You may be back but you don’t run this!!

  22. g8trgirl, you will have help from me and others watching out for that person who must have a mental problem.

  23. I bought the JDNs today thinking there would be something about AMW….nothing.

I’m passing out the info about AWM as much as I can.

  24. ahlou…..doesn’t surprise me. Seems as though all the local media and journalists don’t want to touch this case with a ten foot pole.

Now, if there is a small bout of excitement (with a new girl missing) yeah….they’ll hop on that. They’re under the gun to get “the scoop first”…..beyond that….no. None seem to go beyond the boundaries of asking the requisite questions.

  25. OKAYYYYYYYYYYY, now we are on the subject of the JDN…so let’s talk about that.

This does come from a very good source…an editor actually lol.

The JDN depends on the sheriff, DA, local police for revenue…this includes elections, ads, and other media. An editor made a comment to someone that they do not want to “piss off” the local officials because they depend on the revenue. One of the editors has dinner with a high official at least once weekly.

  26. As a matter of fact…..after the flurry of coverage when Brittney when missing……I’ve yet, unless I missed it, seen any of the print or television media follow up on the status of the case!!!! Are they ALL worried about pissing the sheriff off or do they just not care?

  27. g8, from what I’ve seen it will only be noticed if the girl is a girl, meaning young. Even then as in the case of Brittney wonder if they would even put it on Amber Alert.

Was talking with a friend about mayor election coming up soon. We are still totally disgusted by the words of the current mayor in that meeting when Rev. Perkins addressed the murders and crimes. He is lucky the men and women there were determined there would be NO problems when he said the problem was there were no fathers around. Mind you the room was filled with men, that was so disgusting to hear him say it when we couldn’t tell when we had last seen a police in that area. It’s a little better now. I would vote for a flea before I would vote for him.

PS. Now that I see Kirt Menard’s picture, I can tell you he was at that meeting standing on the left side of the room.

  28. Oh g8trgirl…………I just went to eyezonly website and she STOLE your contacts lol. I knew something wasn’t right about her and her contacts page looks just like yours lol.

  29. Sounds like it ALL boils down to money. A stinkin piece of paper huh?

  30. Yes ahlou, I did attend that meeting. I want accountability in government.

  31. Oh and g8trgirl, you even have your own tab on eyezonly’s blog, isn’t that special.

  32. I refuse to look!!! LOL

  33. 🙂 I refuse to go there as well, g8. Ignore may be what is needed. Talking about elevator not going all the way but maybe it’s elevator bumping the top floor.

  34. I can understand revenue but what about the people who purchase the paper or do they not think that count. I’m not fighing with you just real sad that a group can stop information about seven but if one count the others, many murders.

  35. Yeah well I did. I just copied and pasted every posting she made and if you have some in your archives please send them to me. Apparently she doesn’t know about the copyright laws and the fraudulent claims laws.

I am having my investigator submit her postings to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the district attorney and the State Attorney General’s Office for full review and have a subpoena issued to bellsouth for her full identity. In case she doesn’t know, Bellsouth cooperates in the Patriot’s Act National Security Letter (NSA) program. Apparently she never heard of satellite triangulation of signals.

Also, here is the owner of wordpress that a subpoena will be submitted to and if anyone wants to contact this person and explain what eyezonly is doing, here is the information and he will be served with a subpoena to identify the account belonging to you know who.

  36. There was a person that posted on InSession, back when it was CourtTV….on the Baton Rouge Serial Case…EYEZ/scaredconfused reminds me a great deal of that person.

It’s on my list of “things to do” to see if InSession still has older cases on file along with the posts that went with them.

  37. ahlou, contact the paper and ask them why are they scared to “piss off” the local officials when issues such as AMW admitted to one of their editors that the sheriff did not want their help. Nothing gets done unless we voice our opinion, in a diplomatic way.

  38. It sounds simplistic but it’s true……the squeaky wheels get the oil.

  39. g8trgirl…everyone is right…no need to show her anymore attention. I’ve emailed the domain administrator and told him that she violated the terms of service. Best thing, as someone said is “ignore’ because now I am of the opinion she is only out for attention and self-serving and could care a less about these victims or their families.

  40. Kirk, I can and will do that. I don’t think they are open on Monday so it will haveto wait until Tuesday. I’d be interested in what they say.

  41. I am very interested in what they have to say as well.

  42. Of course what we’re dealing with here is……

No one from the “north” side of the tracks seems to be interested or involved either. At least I’m not aware of the horror and dismay that may be taking place on the other side of the tracks and may have missed “coverage” of their concern.

I often wonder how a town, as a whole, can….with no conscience, not question what has taken place there, with all these murders. Yet, no one on the north side of the tracks has spoken up….or did I miss it?

Your beloved town is becoming more and more tainted by the day….those of you that sit back, that refuse to acknowledge that there is a PROBLEM in Jeff Davis Parish…..I pity you. It is disgraceful what has been allowed to continue there….unchecked, unmonitored….and most of all, unquestioned.

  43. I agree g8trgirl, you’re very observant. I have told my clients’ that this is the reason their daughters were/are targeted because the killer/killers figure who will care, less the police or LE has to deal with. That’s the mentality and its sickening that those that be could care a less. You’re right, the North side has not spoken up, with the exception of the church that has prayer vigils.

Why doesn’t anyone that matters care. I suggest a letter writing campaign, David Vitter, Attorney General, State and United States, FBI (Washington, DC), and anyone else that will listen. This has to stop. We can’t just sit back and wait for another homicide. So the question is….WHY DOESN’T ANYBODY THAT MATTERS CARE?

  44. You all asked why. I quoted this on WS, and I’ll quote it here. I think it is relevant and states it nicely.
“THOSE WHO HAVE NOTHING TO HIDE, HIDE NOTHING”
    a Dr. Phil ism.
Some might just be shocked what is hidden behind those closed doors in those showy, expensive houses on the North side. And it must stay hidden, to keep up appearances at ALL costs. Where those of us who are just the working class that have to struggle day to day just to make it, really don’t give a damn what anyone think of us, we are what we are,

  45. I think that is a good idea…..it may not be many letters or phone calls….but, if they’re consistent….maybe SOMEONE will take notice.

I’m wondering if y’all are interested in compiling a list of questions for the “task force” Ricky Edwards? I’m not sure we’ll be able to find a reporter that is brave enough to ASK the questions of him but, we can try.

  46. g8, but, but, when you read local accounts it’s the “south” side that are not outraged. Mind you a person like you who is not local can see it. It was the “south” side who went into the City Council complaining while the “north” side were amazed with the quantiy of people who showed up.

As far as I can tell there is only ONE minister from the “north” side who is involved with a conscience. As long as no bodies are dropped on the “north” side everthing will be ok. At least as long as it is not a child of someone of status.

Until we all decide it is OUR problem and each of the dead could be our children the problem will not get fixed. A murdered child is something that is flame burned in your heart and soul, no matter whos child.

  47. I’ll go first…..

Have you been able to obtain foreign DNA samples on any of the girls? If yes, have those samples been analyzed AND entered into the CODIS system?

  48. Oh….I have another question. Are you, or any of your deputies, ever drug tested?

    • for your entertainment pleasure:

don’t worry i will let y’all be but i will always have my blog!
and yeah i do RUN THIS MORE THEN YOUR WILLING TO ADMIT!
I’LL BE BACK trust and believe that when you least expect there i’ll BE!!!!

Why is this person threatening me I wonder? I have no idea who this person is. How can they possibly be running the show? I don’t understand the lunacy.

  49. You know what EYEZ….if UR running da show….why WHY haven’t you yet contributed to one article here? The CEO…head hanchos usually like to to flap their chops. Which piece did you contribute here? I forgot.

  50. This is discouraging…..we can attract the nuts but not national attention. Did I land on the wrong planet?

  51. Hey Kirk,

Here is an email address to one of the FBI Profilers in Quantico…It is old- maybe still good. I hope so.
    Ronald.Tunkel@atf.gov

If he did not come assess the area in Nov., Then his associates did and he can get word to those in LA that can help.

Jeff Methvin is one of our LA agents in BR. Pretty sure he came out in NOV. BatonRouge@fbi.gov

Dr. Mary Ellen O’Toole, also a profiler, came down in Nov also. 703-632-4341 is the Quantico number.

The DEA is in Baton Rouge off Acadian Thruway
They may be interested since drugs are involved.

    interesting publication on serial murder…
    http://www.fbi.gov/publications/serial_murder.pdf

  52. I am trying to find motive and am not seeing it. If the girls had info about someone in power I doubt they would use it anyway. Doesn’t seem like anyone would listen to them given the info read here and other places.

With that said, I can see how they would be intimidated to believe they were in some kind of trouble. But, I am getting the feeling that could be a ruse set up by the sk (s) to purposely manipulate them.

It just seems the motive is no real motive like most serial killings…just because someone can do it./wants to/thinks they can get away with it etc.

  53. ahlou, the reason why they can’t put the situation with AMW in the paper is because they need something on the record. The reported Lewis stated the follows:

The Sheriff said he DID NOT tell AMW not to come. AMW stated the Sheriff refused to cooperate.

You can’t print something against, the Sheriff. Like he told me “don’t piss him off”.

Another thing is that he was the one who was threatened when he went to take pictures of a bar, which had nothing to do with this situation.

Then again, it will not hurt for you to call anyway. The more calls the better.

You know, what about the surrounding newspapers, Lafayette or Lake Charles?

One good thing is the election is before May, which is the month of Mother’s Day.

  54. LOL had that typed all wrong. LOL. I’m not eyezonly.

mistake **The reported Lewis stated the follows
meant to say **The reporter Lewis stated the following:

mistake**One good thing is the election is before May, which is the month of Mother’s Day.
Wanted to say**The election is before May (which is when Mother’s Day is). Someone pointed out two murders happened in the of May.

  55. Okay it’s Monday.

  56. Just called Brat with Lake Charles American Press and he stated he will check into the AMW situation.

  57. Good going Brownie, also you might try to call the Advocate and speak to Jason Brown, he is the one that covered the unsolved homicides for that newspaper. Perhaps out of town newspapers will do the story.

  58. I received an email from Jason Brown this morning. He wants to do a story about the blog which will mean the case will be in the media again……that is WELCOME NEWS!!!!

  59. brownie…..there were actually three deaths in May….05, 07 and 08.

  60. I don’t get the advocate, g8trgirl, so please post whatever they say on here. Thanks!

  61. I don’t either brownie…..I read it online. There’s a link to the Advocate at the top left of the page (under Media – Local).

  62. I know Jason personally, he’s a great guy. He also attends the city council meetings in Jennings.

  63. Observer….thanks for the FBI contact information!!!! Are those the agents you mentioned previously that had visited Jennings?

    • cs……thought you might find this interesting since you mentioned motive earlier up thread. It’s from the link provided by Kirk and Observer http://www.fbi.gov/publications/serial_murder.pdf (bold by me):

For the most part, serial murder involves strangers with no visible relationship between the offender and the victim. This distinguishes a serial murder investigation as a more nebulous undertaking than that of other crimes. Since the investigations generally lack an obvious connection between the offender and the victim, investigators instead attempt to discern the motivations behind the murders, as a way to narrow their investigative focus.

Serial murder crime scenes can have bizarre features that may cloud the identification of a motive. The behavior of a serial murderer at crime scenes may evolve throughout the series of crimes and manifest different interactions between an offender and a victim. It is also extremely difficult to identify a single motivation when there is more than one offender involved in the series.

  64. Hey g8trgirl,

Yes, it is the profilers mentioned before that visited Jennings in Nov 08.

I sent lots of emails to wafb in BR, the advocate, and others this morning.

Glad to here Jason is doing a follow up story. I noticed he was following case back in Nov- which had sparked me to send him info about profilers visiting last year. Not sure if anyone would have known otherwise.

I have been known to fax the governor’s office also.
Being he approved the task force, maybe he would like to persue updates.

I think with Kirk knowing the most – it would be best for you to put together a letter not hesitating to express yourself loud and clear. It most always gets responses. I am not from area, so I am not sure exactly what to say to him, but I can put together a public outcry letter to Jindal!!!

  65. FYI: My observations above are for suggestive purposes only. Please don’t feel directed by me. I have been keeping up with you all for a little while now.

I feel for those that have suffered loss and are having to feel in the dark regarding any progress or conclusions in their loved ones deaths/ murders.
To loose a loved one so dear so soon is often more than we can bear, especially when they leave children behind. If that is not enough, having to deal with LE whom appear to be totally uninterested in their cases and the victims families is all too much to ask.

    GodSpeed in your endeavors. .

  66. Hey….keep the observations coming. I always find it fascinating to read others “take” on a situation. That’s why I think it’s important to have as many eyes and ears focused on a case as possible. Often times I’ve seen concerned citizens/posters….whatever you want to call them….point out something that everyone else missed…..even LE. We have to remember, although they’re trained in their field….they’re not inhuman….they’re not see all, know all’s (well maybe a few of them are LOL).

Plus, I think when someone has had first hand experience in some areas, it’s important that they share it with others in the form of suggestions.

  67. I noticed something today, reading back through notes and this blog. May or may not be anything relevant but, I have often wondered about the gap (1 yr 9mos) between the murder of Ernestine (6/05) and Kristen (3/07). NO murders in 2006.

It did dawn on me that Lawrence Nixon & Byron Jones had been arrested and charged with Ernestine’s murder….If I’m correct, the were both incarcerated for basically all of 2006. They were released early 07 and amazingly enough….next murder was in March 07 (Kristen).

  68. I agree with observer that a public outcry is necessary. Still wondering, however, why no national attention?

  69. Hey….maybe it will get national attention….take a look at this
    http://www.americanpress.com/lc/blogs/wpnewssum/?p=5128

  70. G8trgirl, I appreciate your dedication and research to this case.

    • Your welcome Kirk. And I want to thank everyone that has taken time to write or phone media & officials. It is a great contribution towards keeping this case visible.

  71. A special thanks to

Doris Maricle and Jason at AMERICAN PRESS.

    • A special thanks to
Doris Maricle and Jason at AMERICAN PRESS.

I agree….thanks to you both for continuing to follow the story!!

  72. Given a large gap inbetween murders, the first thing I would think is they were incarcerated or moved and came back to area. Good observation g8.
Weren’t Nixon & Bryon released due to lack of evidence and was there complete coroner’s report on Ernestine released?

Any relation of them to Sheriff’s office?

    • Observer yes, charges were dropped due to insufficient evidence and conflicting witness statements. DA Cassidy was hesitant to move forward with the case for those reasons. If they attempted to try the case and lost, they would not have been able to re-try them again at a later date.

I would hope there is a complete coroner’s report. As you know, very little has been released about Ernestine’s death other than her throat was slit.

  73. I don’t know about things like this, but maybe the
killer(s) thought to lay low to make the LE think Nixon & Bryon were the ones.

    • I don’t know about things like this, but maybe the
killer(s) thought to lay low to make the LE think Nixon & Bryon were the ones.

You have a good point brownie and definitely not out of the realm of possibility…..I wouldn’t rule that out. Those two could have been set up.

  74. I was just on the south side of town and there was five police cars patrolling.

Perhaps some of you could email the mayor and let them know that some of you noticed the increased police patrol and that the south side actually felt safe for once. It’s like a “pat on the back” so that this was not just an isolated situation. Law is equity and when they do bad we have to let them know and when they do good we have to let them know.

It might be a good idea to let them know that we would like to see this during night time hours as well. They even blocked a road and stopped a vehicle, and had their lights on. We are in a crisis situation and until the person/persons responsible for these deaths are brought to justice, nobody is going to feel safe but the visibility of police patrol in those high risk areas does make a difference so please express some satisfaction to the mayor and request that the city keeps up the good work so that they do not stop patrolling those high risk areas. Thank you.

  75. Ok, let’s dispel a myth. POLICE HAVE NO DUTY TO PROTECT ITS CITIZENS. They have a duty to enforce the law but not to protect. Sounds unreasonable right? Here is case law on the subject. South v. Maryland, 59 U.S. (How.) 396, 15 L.Ed.433 (1856) (the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that local law-enforcement had no duty to protect individuals, but only a general duty to enforce the laws.); DeShaney v. Winnebago County Department of Social Services, 489 U.S. 189, 109 S.Ct. 998, 1989 (1989);

While certain “special relationships” created or assumed by the State with respect to particular individuals may give rise to an affirmative duty, enforceable through the Due Process [489 U.S. 189, 190] Clause, to provide adequate protection, see Estelle v. Gamble, 429 U.S. 97; Youngberg v. Romeo, 457 U.S. 307, the affirmative duty to protect arises not from the State’s knowledge of the individual’s predicament or from its expressions of intent to help him, but from the limitations which it has imposed on his freedom to act on his own behalf, through imprisonment, institutionalization, or other similar restraint of personal liberty.)

Bowers v. Devito, 686 F.2d 616 (7th Cir. 1982)….here is no constitutional right to be protected by the state against being murdered by criminals or madmen. It is monstrous if the state fails to protect its residents against such predators but it does not violate the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, or, we suppose, any other provision of the Constitution. The Constitution is a charter of negative liberties; it tells the state to let the people alone; it does not require the federal government or the state to provide services, even so elementary a service as maintaining law and order.

I will quote the main case: “Police Have No Duty To Protect Individuals (1982)
    .
An appelliate court has ruled that police were not
negligent in failing to protect three women from two
    knife-wielding assailants. The case (D.C. 444 A. 2d 1)
stemmed from a 1975 incident in which two men broke into
the house shared by three women. Two of them called police
after hearing the other scream for help.
A police dispatcher assured them assistance was on the
way. A squad car arriving on the scene, merely circled the
house without stopping, and the dispatcher failed to relay
a second call for help. The iintruders, discoving the other
two women, repeatedly raped and beat all three over the
    next fourteen hours.
In dismissing the suit, the Court of Appeals reaffirmed
what it called the “well-established” and “uniformly
accepted rule” that “a government and its agents are
under no general duty to provide public services, such
as police protection to any particular individual
citizen.” The court held that police have a duty only
to the “public at large and not to individual members
    of the community.”
Similar decisions across the nation place citizens
in a dilemma, as more states are adopting stronger
limitation on the right of self defense, compounded by
the nationwide drive to place restrictive gun control
    law on the books.”

Of course, the city, such as mayor and city council does have a duty to ensure a safe place to live, work and play. METROMEDIA, INC. v. SAN DIEGO, 453 U.S. 490 (1981)
    453 U.S. 490 .

Of course, we don’t want to let the police know this.

  76. That’s good news Kirk…..sounds very promising. I agree it’s a good idea to offer LE and the Mayor positive feedback….not just the negative.

Another consideration for those of you that are local to the JDP area is forming Neighborhood Watch Programs. Law enforcement and possibly clergy could aid in establishing them.

1 – Recruit and organize as many neighbors as possible
2 – Contact local law enforcement agency and schedule a meeting
3 – Discuss community concerns and develop an action plan
4 – Hold regular meetings and train
5 – Implement a phone tree and take action steps

I think item #5 is an extremely effective way of keeping neighbors in the loop. The subdivision I reside in uses email to keep all of the residents promptly informed of suspicious activity in the neighborhood.

Here is the link with information on how to start up and maintain a neighborhood watch program http://www.usaonwatch.org/.

  77. Perhaps you should share the REAL REASON you’ve decided to “back off the case”!!!

  78. I am sick and tired of this Eyezonly coming on here and downgrading what happened to our family members. You have no right. I have remained silent long enough. We have our own problems to deal with and you’re not one of them. Please stop this cherade and get on with your life. You know nothing about what happened to our family members and even if you did we will let our private investigator and the police handle it not you. Mr. Kirk Menard is the only person that has helped us and you know what, he has not asked for one dime, has not asked for one thing except information so he can help us. You have serious problems and I believe you may need psychological help. Why don’t you move on with your life and leave ours alone. Mr. Kirk Menard has maintained our confidentiality through alll of this and has been by our side since some of us hired him. He had the compassion enough to take our cases when we could not afford to pay him but some of the other family members that could afford it did pay him and he has taken on the entire justice system on our behalf to see that our family’s murderer is brought to justice. Don’t you dare pretend you know what’s going on when you don’t. Leave us the hell alone. Is that asking too much? We have our investigator and we have the police and this site is helping and you come on here and pretend that you have all the answers. Leave us alone I can’t take anymore. Why can’t you understand that. Go on with your life.

  79. Eyezonly, if you had any couth (not sure on spelling) about you, you would repsect that lady and her family.

  80. I apologize to everyone here for being subjected to Eyezonly’s continued mockery of this case. I block her comments and she continues to go out of her way to get around the blocks.

This is for you Eyez…and I do not intend to say this again. You ARE NOT WELCOME HERE!!!! Period.

Perhaps your first “legal notice” was not sufficient enough to compel you to butt out.

Please consider yourself warned that additional legal action can, and will be , pursued should you opt to continue coming to this blog to harass and cause further stress to the families.

  81. FYI, here is the Louisiana Statute on cyberstalking:

Senate Act 737, Louisiana Revised Statute 14:40.3 §40.3
To enact R.S. 14:40.3, relative to criminal offenses against the person; to create the crime of cyberstalking; to provide that such crime shall be the intentional harassing or threatening of another through the use of electronic mail or electronic communication; to provide for definitions; to apply for exceptions of peaceable, nonviolent, or nonthreatening activities for certain purposes; to provide for penalties; and to provide for related matters. Section 1. R.S. 14:40.3 is hereby enacted to read as follows: §40.3. Cyberstalking
R.S. 14:40.3 is all new law.
    A. For the purposes of this Section, the following words shall have the following meanings:

    (2) “Electronic mail” means the transmission of information or communication by the use of the Internet, a computer, a facsimile machine, a pager, a cellular telephone, a video recorder, or other electronic means sent to a person identified by a unique address or address number and received by that person.

(3) Upon a third or subsequent conviction occurring within seven years of a prior conviction for stalking, the offender shall be imprisoned for not less than two years and not more than five years and may be fined not more than five thousand dollars, or both.
    D. Any offense under this Section committed by the use of electronic mail or electronic communication may be deemed to have been committed where the electronic mail or electronic communication was originally sent, originally received, or originally viewed by any person.
    E. This Section does not apply to any peaceable, nonviolent, or nonthreatening activity intended to express political views or to provide lawful information to others.

  82. Thank you VERY MUCH for posting those statutes!!!!

  83. Think you’re anonymous on the internet, think again. Cyberstalking, harassment, and bullies, especially when not welcome because of causing emotional distress can be tracked. Here is a brief excerpt and the link to the website:

“Users of the internet often experience a sense that they are not in the ‘Real World’. They can not be seen nor can they see the person they are corresponding with.” That cannot be further from the truth.

  84. FYI….. a link has been added under “Media – National” for Geraldo Rivera at Fox News. A poster on one of the Topix forums suggested it. Please consider sending an email requesting coverage on the Jeff Davis Parish deaths.

I also urge you to continue to email the producers of Greta and Nancy’s programs. I’ve sent a ton already but I’m not giving up….maybe we’ll catch their eye sooner or later. You never know unless you try and we have to keep trying.

  85. I also want to let the family members know that even though, at times, when the number of comments being left here slow down, it may appear interest is dwindling……I want to assure you that is not the case at all.

Even though I removed the “view counter” from the site….I still have access to those numbers. More and more people are coming everyday to read about the case, about what happened to your loved ones and the obstacles you all face in the aftermath. I hope it gives you encouragement to hang on to the belief that justice will be served.

  86. Interest isn’t dwindling by many but rather intrigued. Now, if Eyes posts could be sent to hibernation we may be able to talk more. She/he is very distracting and a detriment to productive discussion. No one wants to read babble in a serious forum.

  87. THANK YOU cp !!!

It tires me to read them and they have been unbelievably distracting. I’m getting rid of the last of them (if I happen to miss one y’all let me know…..she was posting under 7 different email accounts).

I’m ready for some productive discussion and I bet you’re just the right person to lead us in that direction!! I’ll get a new thread up shortly.
